About me. I’m an interior designer and mother of three very curious children. I believe that motherhood is a beautiful mess and that our homes, in all their perfect imperfections, should be places of comfort and delight. I have a degree in Business Management and Interior Design, and have spent the majority of my design years working with clients, builders, and architects to design homes from the ground up. Recently, I have enjoyed reliving the magic of childhood with my husband and beautiful children, whom I love more than anything.
About my home. My home is almost always a mess. I believe in creativity and, sometimes, the only way to get where you want to go is to make a little mess. Stop by any afternoon and you are sure to find us at high-tide, knee deep in the newest tape contraption or mud puddle exploration. But in all its messiness, I love my home. It’s not perfect, and I’m ok with that. Everywhere I turn there are signs of the life we’ve made here; stacks of our favorite books with pages torn from use, antiques we’ve collected from different cities over the years, artwork that my children have created as they’ve grown. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
About my style. I believe that there is beauty in simplicity and functionality. I believe in using real materials. . .wood, stone, metal, natural fibers. I believe in pieces with a history. I love cracks and scratches. . .they are signs of life, of love. I believe that a house should be collected over time, and that it is much, much better to have fewer, better things.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you will join me as I tell my story about a house and the people who live here. . .
