Oh the difference a new coat of paint can make! This country club wanted to freshen up it’s appearance without undergoing massive renovations, so we opted to start by painting out the exterior brick. After testing out a few different shades on different sides of the building, we landed on SW Creamy, one of my favorite exterior colors. To create a streamlined, more transitional look, we decided to apply this color everywhere…brick, trim, ceiling, and most doors.

I wish I had a “before” picture of the entrance. . . the doors really didn’t match the style of the building at all. Without money in the budget to replace them, we opted to paint them out in a sophisticated black (Tricorn Black by SW). Voila. All of a sudden the fretwork detailing on the doors disappears and all you notice is the contrast of the black against the white. What a great trick:) Next on my to-do list: beautiful hanging lanterns, new wall lanterns, iron benches, more iron planters, and a few Carolina Jasmine vines. Stay tuned!
